Would you defend capitalism as an ethical economic system????
Karl Max saw capitalism as a system which alienates human beings. He said that some aspects of capitalism “fail the test of reciprocity”.
But ethical capitalism can be possible. Capitalism is an ethical economic system where each person is responsible for themselves. The government protects private property and enforces contracts. Capitalism is an ethical system because it is based on liberty and private property.
Ethics is about choice and capitalism increases people’s choice and freedom of choice. It is a system based upon the “recognition that human action is made of individual decisions that are kept relevant through responsibility.”
