For someone who is not a member of a minority group and who has not been discriminated against because of their skin color, eye shape, or another characteristic, these following discussion might not seem to be very relevant or important.
But it is important to realize that it is wrong to hold someone else inferior because of his or her skin color, religion, weight, disability, or some other factor...
Most of the time, my students ask me the difference betweeb these two terms: Prejudice and Discrimination
Here is a brief axiom to distinguish between these two terms: Prejudice is an attitude; discrimination is an action
Scientists have been unable to find biological markers of one race or another and have pointed out that there are an almost infinite variety of characteristics that we sometimes use to denote one race or another (Henslin, 2003).
The concept of race is not used among scientists.
